2CD limited version with bonus remixes! From side to main project: Aydo Abay awakens his indie rock band to new life. Aydo Abay is a rather special creature in the German music scene. The former frontman of the successful alternative rock band Blackmail is not only a brilliant singer, he's also always on the search for new and unconventional forms of expression in rock music. In doing so, he's quite willing to let himself be inspired by the creativity of others, for example his fellow members in what was once his side project and is now his main project, Ken. On "Yes We", a variety of different ideas, sounds and layers have an effect, such as pop and spacerock, electronic and post-punk, and you'll discover precious melody jewels and quirky, sauntering layers of sound. Everything was allowed, but only the really good ideas made the grade. More than on any other Ken record before it, "Yes We" is the result of collective thinking. Many of the ideas came from the other band members, and with bass payer Guido Lucas the band even has a studio owner (Blubox) in their ranks. Sound-wise, "Yes We" is quite a surprise: this much pop, harmony and accommodation was rare. The rest is pure joy. Released on Strange Ways and available March 23rd, 2010.
