Universal Poplab is a band from Sweden, founded in January 2002 by singer,
songwriter and radio host
Christer Lundberg and the multi-talented musician Paul Lachenardiére.
For the recordings of their second album „Uprising“, the experienced producer
Hans Olsson joined the
band. „Uprising“ was first released in 2006 and received thrilled feedback.
Especially christer's brilliant
vocals stand out from many male synthpop acts, and the intoxicating songs with
the sometimes tonguein-
cheek lyrics remind listeners of 80s heroes like Alphaville or Erasure.
After the album „Uprising“, a remix album was released. Both CDs are now made
available worldwide by
Major Records. On the remix album, fellow musicians such as Neuropa, Menichal
Servants and
Thermostatic add their own interesting view on the glorious pop songs. Released
on Major Records.
