It would be reductive to indicate this work "only" as an album. The first
description that occurs to the listener is a "hearing experience". Project
Pitchfork once again went beyond the scope of every well-known standard in order
to give us something revolutionary and surprising.
Wonderland and One million Faces consist respectively of three parts (Ouverture,
Wonderland, Résumé and Research, Consequence, One million Faces). The structure
of the pieces reminds to refreshing way of operas as well as of classic music
compositions.
The sound worlds in which Project Pitchfork takes us away are soaked with
delightful somber beauty and irresistible, electronic hardness. The music
catapults us to a place in which enchanted dreams and pitch-black nightmares
become one in an optimal balance between tradition and innovation.
It is here about a work that has the strength to let the listener feel like a
"spectator". The film that one just pursued is of full fascinating details which
reveal themselves more and more until one looks at the film no longer but
perceives it.
This release combines a high compositional level, textual depth and a splendid
teamwork of captivating sound and atmosphere. It proves therefore the potential
to inspire older as well as new Pitchfork fans. Released on Prussia and
available March 4th, 2008.
